Lyrics to the song ‘Lose Yourself at Diddy’s Party’ allegedly sung by Justin Bieber are going viral on social media.
Some Justin Bieber fans believe the singer has released a song alluding to parties allegedly hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs after a spoof song resurfaced online late last week.
Combs, 54, was charged last weekend with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied the charges. In the days since he was sent to prison, many have circulated an old song that references “Diddy parties” sung by a Justin Bieber-like voice.
The song roughly translates as: “Lose Yourself at Diddy’s Party / Don’t know how it went / I went for a new Ferrari / But it cost me more than my soul.” “Is it worth all the money and fame / All the girls never walk the same / Sign the papers so he never has to say sorry / Lose yourself at one of Diddy’s parties.”
But there is no evidence that the song is real. It has not been released on any streaming services, nor is it credited on any of Justin Bieber’s official channels. It is also not listed in the singer’s official catalog. Some listeners have speculated that the muffled vocals and lack of emotion suggest it may have been created using artificial intelligence.
NBC News has not yet verified whether the sound was created by AI. Justin Bieber’s rep has not commented on the controversy.
The song, which has been used as the soundtrack in thousands of TikTok videos, was first released in April amid a series of sexual assault allegations against Combs. Videos featuring the song have since garnered tens of millions of views.
Justin Bieber, 30, first met Combs as a teenager and developed a close friendship with him early in his career. The two collaborated on the 2023 song “Moments.”
Their relationship is currently under scrutiny online by Justin Bieber fans, who have used the song to express concerns about their relationship. Old clips of Combs spending time with Bieber as a teenager have also resurfaced. Bieber has not publicly commented on the accusations against Combs, nor has he made any accusations of his own.
In November, Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie was the first to file a civil lawsuit accusing him of sexually and physically assaulting her while they were dating. Combs’ attorney initially denied the allegations, and the lawsuit was settled out of court. However, he issued a public apology this year after security footage emerged of him hitting Cassie in 2016.
Multiple lawsuits have since been filed against Diddy for sexual harassment, sexual assault, and sex trafficking. The latest lawsuit was filed Tuesday by a woman who says he and his bodyguard “brutally” raped her in a New York City recording studio more than 20 years ago after Combs drugged her.
