The victim, who was stabbed with a pocket knife, suffered life-threatening injuries including a punctured lung, inforum.com reported. After stabbing him, Ayom stole a pickup truck from a nearby construction site and fled the scene. Investigators tracked it using the truck’s GPS device and Ayom was arrested after a 40-mile chase.
Ayom says he felt pressured to act by President Biden and Vice President Harris following comments Biden recently made about supporters of former President Trump being “trash.”
On a late Wednesday call last week Biden said: The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.” Before the gaffe, Trump and other Republicans were facing pushback of their own for comments by a comedian at a weekend Trump rally who disparaged Puerto Rico as a floating island of garbage.
In retaliation the next day Trump got off his plane in Green Bay, Wisconsin and got into a white garbage truck decked out with American flags and his campaign logo.
He took questions while seated in the passenger seat of the truck, wearing a neon orange safety vest over his white dress shirt and red tie, evoking his recent McDonalds photo opportunity. “How do you like my garbage truck? Trump said, adding its in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.
