Israel mobilized more than 10 fighter jets, launching more than 10 artillery shells at a single target in the West Bay Lagoon area, a high-end residential area of Doha where many foreign families live.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry said the building was home to members of the Hamas Political Bureau, a quiet residential area outside the city center of Doha.
CNN quoted an Israeli official as saying the planes had to refuel mid-flight for the long flight and that the entire operation had been carefully planned, but the timing of the action was brought forward.
