Jason Kelce’s hair envy hit new levels this week as he playfully compared his thinning strands to younger brother Travis Kelce’s full head of hair.
During Wednesday’s episode of their New Heights podcast, the Kelce brothers took a lighthearted detour from football talk to analyze their respective hairlines—leading to Jason openly admitting that he’s feeling the effects of time more than his younger sibling.
A Hair Showdown on New Heights
The conversation kicked off when Travis complimented Jason’s hairstyle, calling it “suave.”
“You’ve got a little suave going right now,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end remarked.
But Jason, never one to accept a compliment without pushing back, quickly disagreed.
“No, you’re the suave,” the former Philadelphia Eagles center shot back. “Take that hat off. You got the suave.”
At first, Travis played coy, replying, “I’m not going to do that.” But after a moment, he gave in, dramatically removing his Cincinnati Bearcats cap and running his fingers through his thick, dark brown hair—topping it off with a little hair toss.

Jason, watching the display, couldn’t help but marvel.
“Oooh, look at that hair!” he exclaimed before following it up with a statement filled with sibling envy: “I can’t believe you haven’t started balding.”
Travis, slightly baffled by the comment, responded, “What? We’re Kelces.” His tone suggested he believed the family was genetically blessed with good hair. But Jason wasn’t so sure.
“I’m balding, Travis,” he said, suddenly serious. “I’m getting thin up there.”
Travis leaned in, skeptical. “Where?”
Jason, determined to prove his point, tilted his head forward, giving the camera a full overhead view.
Travis inspected his brother’s scalp and, in an attempt to reassure him, declared, “No, it’s just a widow’s peak, not up top—you’re good up top.”
Jason wasn’t convinced. “It’s going thin right through the middle,” he insisted.
Travis, clearly amused, then asked, “That’s why you do it to the side?”
Jason’s response was peak older-brother nonchalance: “I don’t do anything. I just wake up.” He then laughed and added, “I don’t do s—t to my hair.”
Kelce Style Wars: Jason’s Simplicity vs. Travis’ High-Profile Looks
Jason has long embraced a laid-back approach to his appearance, a philosophy shared by his wife, Kylie Kelce, who has previously said they don’t concern themselves much with trends.
Travis, on the other hand, is one of the NFL’s most fashion-forward figures, frequently making headlines for his outfits—and, more recently, his hair. His ever-evolving hairstyles have been a topic of conversation for years, especially after some fans humorously (and inaccurately) credited him with “inventing” the fade haircut.
More recently, Travis has experimented with growing his hair out, even enduring an awkward slicked-back phase before finding a look that works. Reportedly, his decision to let his locks grow was influenced by none other than his girlfriend, Taylor Swift—adding another layer to his status as a trendsetter.
With all the attention on Travis’ looks, perhaps Taylor could extend her fashion and grooming expertise to the entire Kelce family. Though if Jason has anything to say about it, he’ll probably stick to rolling out of bed and calling it a day.
