While rescue teams continued to approach the Guadalupe River to search for the missing, Aaron Judge – currently on a mid-season break – joined foreign and local teams in entering the dangerous area, rolling up his sleeves, wading through the water, and holding onto lifeboats. According to TikTok and NYT, the two missing boys were safely rescued thanks to Judge’s direct participation.
What did Judge share in the water?
No spotlights, no reporters around, just the raging river and a resilient heart. When asked, Judge only answered in a voice trembling with emotion:
“When I saw the children being swept away, I knew what I had to do – I had to be here. I can hit home runs, but today, I wanted to… save a life.”

The appearance of the NFL star played an important role in motivating the entire community to participate in the rescue. Previously, teams like the Astros, Rangers, Rockets, Texans have donated more than $1 million each to the emergency relief fund.
