The longstanding feud between 50 Cent and Sean “Diddy” Combs has seen a lot of public jabs and controversy, with the tension only growing in light of recent allegations against Combs. Despite Diddy’s attempts to downplay their issues, even expressing a desire to be friends with 50 Cent in a resurfaced radio interview, 50 Cent has remained adamant in his disdain for the music mogul.
In the interview, Diddy openly expressed that he wanted to befriend 50 Cent, even going as far as pleading, “Yo, 50 please be my friend… Curtis, please be my friend.” He explained his intention to share his business acumen with 50 Cent, claiming he could help him become a better “money-getter.”
However, 50 Cent, legally known as Curtis Jackson, hasn’t reciprocated those sentiments. In fact, 50 Cent has confirmed that he is moving forward with a docu-film focused on Diddy’s past, which will highlight the serious legal issues surrounding Combs, including allegations of sexual assault and trafficking. The documentary aims to expose various allegations that have been directed at Diddy, with profits reportedly going toward supporting victims of sexual crimes.
50 Cent’s production experience, particularly with his hit *Power* franchise, positions him as a capable filmmaker to tackle the project. He believes that his lack of involvement in Diddy’s notorious parties gives him an objective lens through which to examine the allegations. “I’m not on the tapes,” he stated, alluding to incriminating footage from Diddy’s infamous gatherings. This contrasts with other figures in hip-hop, who, according to 50 Cent, are staying silent out of fear or complicity.
Their feud traces back to at least 2006 when 50 Cent released the diss track “The Bomb,” insinuating Diddy had knowledge of The Notorious B.I.G.’s killer, though without proof. The tension between the two escalated when 50 Cent took on the role of Rick Ross’s manager, leading Diddy to label him a “hating a– crap” in 2010. More recently, 50 Cent intensified his criticisms when Diddy’s ex-partner, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, filed a lawsuit in 2023 accusing Diddy of sexual assault and human trafficking.
With 50 Cent at the helm of a documentary scrutinizing Diddy’s past, it’s clear their feud has evolved beyond personal disagreements into a more profound clash over serious legal and ethical issues.
