In recent years, Malaysia has seen an unfortunate rise in cases of harassment and violence against stray animals, specifically dogs.
However, one Malaysian actress seems to be setting the tone and paving the way by standing for a cause that encourages kindness and love towards stray dogs.
Featured in a campaign orchestrated by Malaysian dog media company My Forever Doggo called Love All Beings, Malaysian actress and podcast host Amelia Henderson appeared alongside a few puppies who are up for adoption. Sharing the post to their official Instagram page Henderson captured a few photos with three precious doggos named Tuesday, Friday, and Roti Girl.
Spreading a message that is simple yet profound, Love All Beings boasts the idea that if you don’t like stray dogs, do not harm them.
“Imagine being hungry, sick, and injured – and no one stops to help you, despite seeing how helpless you are. Sadly, that is the reality of every homeless doggo in our country right now,” read a portion of the caption under the post.
Expressing their hope for 2024, My Forever Doggo encourages those who feel uneasy towards the sight of homeless dogs to not condemn them using violence, and instead to leave them alone as they would do the same.
“Please extend kindness whenever and wherever you can, going the extra mile whenever you see a less fortunate doggo in need,” read the post.
Receiving praise for partaking in a timely yet crucial campaign, many Malaysians commended Henderson for appearing alongside all three puppies.
