The Baltimore Ravens, known for their explosive offense, have taken steps to strengthen their lineup even further. The AFC North powerhouse has secured another running back to support their star quarterback, Lamar Jackson, for at least the next two seasons.

It’s no secret that the Ravens boast one of the NFL’s most formidable offenses, with Lamar Jackson as their shining star. However, even the best need a strong supporting cast, and Baltimore’s front office has been working diligently to ensure Jackson has all the weapons he needs to succeed.

In a recent move, the Ravens have added yet another piece to their offensive puzzle by signing a running back, aiming to help Jackson lead the team toward championship glory this season.

The Ravens have established themselves as serious contenders this season. Over the years, Lamar Jackson has evolved into a more complete quarterback, refining his passing abilities while maintaining his status as a dynamic dual-threat.

Analysts widely regard the Ravens’ offense as one of the league’s most potent. In their latest effort to enhance Jackson’s arsenal, Baltimore has announced the signing of running back Justice Hill to a two-year contract extension worth $6 million, securing him through the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Hill entered the NFL in 2019 as a 4th-round pick for the Ravens. Since then, he has primarily served as a backup, struggling to stand out in a system that often emphasizes Jackson’s designed runs.

On December 10, 2023, before a game against the Los Angeles Rams, Justice Hill was spotted warming up in Baltimore, demonstrating his dedication to the team. In his five years with the Ravens, Hill has accumulated 1,375 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns. Although Derrick Henry currently holds the starting running back position, the Ravens believe Hill can significantly ease the workload for both Henry and Jackson.

At present, the Ravens’ active running back roster includes just Derrick Henry and Justice Hill. With injuries sidelining both Keaton Mitchell and Rasheen Ali, re-signing Hill became a crucial move to maintain the depth and effectiveness of their running game.

Keaton Mitchell, who suffered a torn ACL last year that prematurely ended his rookie season, is currently on injured reserve and is expected to miss at least the first four games of the season while recovering.
