The “Acróstico” singer postponed the start date of her North American tour due to high demand for tickets
Shakira‘s giving North American fans an upgrade ahead of her world tour.
After postponing the start of the North American leg of her 2025 Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour from November to May 2025, the “Te Felicito” singer, 47, announced on Monday, Oct. 21, the tour will now include several stadium shows to accommodate more fans.
North American tour dates will now kick off on Tuesday, May 13, in Charlotte, N.C. at the Bank of America Stadium and run through Monday, June 30, in San Francisco at Oracle Park.
Shakira shared the announcement with her fans on her Instagram Stories on Friday, Oct. 18.
“My dear fans, Your incredible support since my tour announcement has truly been extraordinary, and it’s already making this the biggest tour of my career,” her statement began.
She continued, “As Live Nation communicated earlier, the demand for tickets and more shows has reached the point that our tour now requires stadiums in the USA and more dates so I can see as many of you as possible.”
“The production of my show is now also so much larger and unlike anything I’ve done before. As a result, we’re elevating my North America run from arenas to stadiums and the dates will be shifted to May 2025, right after my Latin American tour,” the Grammy winner added.
Shakira went on to thank fans for their understanding as she moved the start date just a few weeks ahead of the previously planned November kick off.
“I know many of you have made big efforts to be a part of these shows. Thank you so much for supporting me through this. Your understanding and love means the world to me and helps me to continue breaking barriers,” she wrote.
Shakira concluded her message with, “I’ll be waiting for you with great anticipation. I promise to make it worth the wait and deliver the best show of my life!”
